    Even every candidate can appear in counseling if he had given the jee mains exam .

    The cut off released is only for those who can give jee advanced.

    You should have qualify in Jee main .
    You must have greater than 75% marks in cbse board or you are in top 20 percentile of their respective board .

    According to your percentile in jee mains you are definitely eligible for josaa counselling as the cutoff percentile for SC category is 54.01.

    So you can apply the counselling in second week of June.

    the cutoff for counselling for different categories are:-

    1.GENERAL:-89.75488

    2.GENERAL(EWS):-78.2174

    3.OBC(NCL):-74.3166

    4.SC:-54.0128

    5.ST:-44.3345

    6.:-PWD:-0.11371


    so,if you fall under general category then you are not eligible ,else if you belong to any reserved categories then you are eligible for josaa counselling .

    If you’re the one who cleared the cutoff for JEE Mains 2019, then only you’re eligible for the participation in JOSAA Counselling. Check out the following link to validate the same:-

    If you're a general candidate then with 71% in boards you're not eligible to get admission in any college through JOSAA as fir that you need to have minimum of 75% in boards to be eligible. You can attend BCECE counseling if you qualify it's entrance exam and you'll be

    Yes, you have to clear the cutoff of exam to sit for counselling. As if you are not able to score the cutoff marks then you cannot go for counselling held by jossa.

    So, I will advice you to score atleast equal to the general cutoff according to

    Admission into NIT and IIT can be done only via JOSAA. There are no othermeans to get admission into these institutions.

    For admission into NIT, candidates sit for the JEE Mains and based on the rank secured by them, they get respective courses in the 31 different NITs
