B.Sc. Programs: B.Sc. programs are offered by the college with specializations in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology. B.Sc. programs have been approved for intake with a total of 128 seats. Entry into these programs is determined mainly through 10+2 knowledge; students are expected to have an excellent theoretical basis especially in science subjects at that level of competency. Individual selection may also consider marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

B.Com. programs: Mathakaragola College offers the two B.Com. programs, B.Com. (Hons) and B.Com. Accountancy (Hons), with both having approved intakes of 64 seats. Admission to the said programs is conditional upon the 10+2 examination, based on a composite performance of the candidate with regard to commerce-related subjects or mathematics.
