The College of Physical Education Jalna established in 1994 is managed by Matsyodari Shikshan Sanstha, Jalna a well-known College located in Maharashtra in India. Recognised by National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE this college exclusively offers physical education and teacher training courses. Located in a very small area of 3.16 Acres, currently the institute has three full time courses with aggregated strength of 119 students. The college has a strength of teachers 2 members so that each and every student can be given undivided attention. The specific objectives have an emphasis on the provision of physical education and trainer training so as to produce a pool of qualified trainers and sports personnel. The college provides most of the facilities that supplement learning of students in the college.

It acts as a veritable source of information, youth and educational works being readily available for use from book resources. To maintain physical fitness and training purposes, a gym with the necessary equipment is identified at the college campus. It also contains an auditorium for occasions and seminar meetings to ensure an active college atmosphere. Food is provided at the school canteen to cater for the consumer needs of the school. The institution makes all necessary provisions to support the new trends in the passing of knowledge. Technical capabilities for practical training include laboratories, whereas physical facilities for further development consist of sports facilities. Meaningful awareness of first aid services in the health centre is crucial to college community. 

The College of Physical Education by Matsyodari Shikshan Sanstha provides three full time courses, to meet the education and physical learning demands. These programmes are as follows B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education), and D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education). Of the B.Ed and B.P.Ed programmes, only 50 seats have been approved for each programme while the number of intake for the D.El.Ed programme remains unknown. These courses are aimed at training students for employment in teaching and physical education, affording equal emphasis on theory and the application of it.

Admission to Matsyodari Shikshan Sanstha’s College of Physical Education is given on the basis of merit of the qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. As per the rules & regulations of the state Government & the affiliating University, the Admissions for B. Ed Programme is done through marks obtained in the qualifying examination/Entrance Test. B.P.Ed programme has more extensive criterion such as written examination test, physical standard test, interview and percentage obtained in the qualifying examination. In order to follow the legal provisions of the state government or UT administration, the D.El.Ed programme also disqualifies students based on merit scores. D.El.Ed: The number of seats for D.El.Ed is unknown, while the admission process is conducted under the guidelines of the state government or UT administration. The merit score of candidates for the qualifying examinations and/or for an entrance test determines their selection.
