McGAN's Ooty School of Architecture is one of the premier architectural schools in southern India, located in the beautiful town of Ooty, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India and was started in the year 2008. This co-educational affiliated college is approved by the Council of Architecture which offers architectural education in the backdrop of Nilgiri hills. It occupies a small area of 5 acres of land hence it is a compact institute that is steadily making its name in the world of architectural education. It has 350 students, and the institution is blessed with 27 dedicated members of the faculty, therefore we have a student-teacher ratio of 13:1. Across the two degree programmes, the institute provides three specialized courses to cultivate the next generation architects and environmental design innovators.

McGAN's Ooty School of Architecture boasts of a rich learning facility, which boasts of some of the best equipment. The college library, established and fully equipped to meet the needs of the students, staffs and faculty members, has an enriched collection of printed and digital resources including books, journals and e-journals, magazines, Project Reports, and abstracts in the related field of Architecture and Design. From the perspective of the learner, especially the aspiring architects, the IT infrastructure is very vital in a way that it provides the students with the current tools and technologies used in the real world. There is also the provision for boys and girls hostels for out-station students thus affording them a comfortable stay in campus. 

McGAN's Ooty School of Architecture currently offers three courses: A five year full time B.Arch programme and two two year full time M.Arch programmes out of which one is specialisation in Environmental Architecture. The B.Arch programme which is at the core of this institute has an approved annual intake which is eighty students. 

The admission procedure at McGAN’s Ooty School of Architecture is mostly centralised examination that is conducted at the national level. In the case of B.Arch course admissions are through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).
