MIMT Polytechnic, Saharanpur Admission Process
MIMT Polytechnic, Sankar, Saharanpur, is an institution of the All India Council for Technical Education and one of its affiliated colleges. Other than that, the institute also admits students into various diploma courses in engineering disciplines, and the entire admission process is based on merit. The first and foremost joint entrance examination for taking admission in MIMT Polytechnic is- Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) popularly known as JEECUP.
MIMT Polytechnic is an effort to identify worthy candidates who have proved their mettle through the academic record coupled with the entrance exams scores. The aspirants have scored marks in the entrance JEECUP, an aspect which is one item in the eligibility and merit parameters measured for admission. Intake sessions for the successful candidates during admission have always followed the dates of the JEECUP examinations.
Application Process
1. Appear for JEECUP examination: First, a candidate should take the entrance exam conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh - Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic).
2. Check JEECUP results: After results are announced, examinees should verify their scores and ranks.
3. Counselling procedure: Qualified candidates, according to the JEECUP rank, are generally called for the procedure of counselling. This process lets candidates select their preferred course and institution.
4. Document verification: Generally, shortlisted candidates based on their JEECUP performance will then be called to get their documents verified:
- JEECUP score card
- 10th standard mark sheets along with certificates
- Proof of date of birth
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate (if need)
5. Fee payment: Upon document verification, candidates are advised to deposit admission fees from which their seats would be confirmed.
6. Final admission: MIMT Polytechnic definite admits candidates upon fulfilling the aforementioned processes.
Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma in Civil Engineering: MIMT Polytechnic provides this diploma under the purview of Civil Engineering. Admission to this program, like several others, takes place on a merit basis considering the performance in the appropriate entrance examination such as JEECUP. This program does not specify its intake number; however, it is expected to be in the range of similar capacity as with other diploma programs of the institute.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This program has 60 total seats available. The admission is based on the performance of the candidate in the JEECUP exam and on the overall merit.
Diploma in Electronics Engineering: Like the Electrical Engineering program, this diploma also has an intake capacity of 60 seats. The admission process follows the same criteria for selection wherein the scores in JEECUP facilitated consideration in selection.
Diploma in Production Engineering: This program also caters to 60 seats for aspiring students who are willing to pursue a diploma course in this field. Candidate selection under this diploma program is similar to other diploma programs in the sense that it assesses JEECUP performance and overall merit. .
All diploma courses at MIMT Polytechnic last three years and are full time. Because of smaller classes, effective learning takes place with personalized attention to students.
