About MKCG Medical College, Berhampur
MKCG Medical College is a renowned college which is located in Odisha. It was established in 1962 and MKCG is a government medical college spread across a large campus of 162 acres. The college is affiliated with Berhampur University and it is approved by the National Commission (NMC).
MKCG offers a wide range of medical courses at different levels. The main programme is MBBS with a seat intake of 250 students. At the post graduate level students can pursue different courses such as MS and MD in different specialisations. Admission is based on NEET examinations for UG, PG and doctoral levels. And for diploma 10+2 examination is required. Students are selected on the basis of their NEET scores. MKCG total seat intake is around 1623 students in the first and second years of MBBS.The college also follows the government reservation policies during the admission process ensuring opportunities for students from different categories.
MKCG Berhampur has well developed infrastructure, qualified faculty, good laboratories and modern facilities. Its central library is fully air conditioned and has a wide collection of books, journals and magazines. Separate hostel facilities are available for male and female students. Large government medical college with a major teaching hospital. Well established pathology, microbiology,biochemistry and clinical laboratories.library, hostels and wifi facilities are available. Some building and facilities are not modern.
