MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies is an affiliated college that was established in 1999 in Mangalore, Karnataka. Being an NAAC accredited institute, the institute offers postgraduate management education approved by AICTE. The college is affiliated with Mangalore University. MSNM Besant is spread over a tiny campus area of 3.62 acres and has an overall admission capacity of 204 students and a faculty of 12 members. At present, the institute is providing only one MBA course with a total intake of 120 students, so it exclusively devotes its energy to delivering the best quality of management education. To nurture the physical well-being and recreational needs of the students and faculty, MSNM Besant has outfitted itself with volleyball and basketball courts, a tennis court, and carrom and chess boards. It possesses a spacious computer laboratory installed with the most current Dell computers and has a WI-FI enabled campus to encourage students to incorporate technology in their learning.

The MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies itself launches only one full-time MBA course with an overall number of 120 intakes. The two-year programme aims at offering the students a broad management education to fit them for higher responsibilities in business organisations. It is an annual occurrence to review and update the programme to correspond to the current job market and to trends within the global business environments. 

The admission for the MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies takes place on a merit basis under the education quanta quota. For management quota admissions, candidates need to write national level examinations like CAT, MAT or CMAT for getting admission in B-schools. Also, the institute considers the results from any one of the state-level KMAT, namely, the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test. For the government quota aspirants have to pass in PGCET which is a postgraduate common entrance test conducted and administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority, or KEA.
