Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma program offered by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Patna, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate who has passed the 10+2 from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at 10+2 are preferred. Above 50% marks or equivalent at 10+2 level. Candidates who completed their certification program in the stream of science must have 60% or above marks.

Admission Details

The admission process for this course in most of the colleges is based on an entrance exam, which is different for respective institutions. Candidates who clear this entrance exam are further called for a round of personal interviews. Questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects of 10+2 level are asked in the entrance exam. Questions are asked in 3 sections in this exam. A separate cut-off list for each section is issued. Those who cleared the cut-off are selected for the course in various colleges.
