Namboodiris College of Teacher Education is an esteemed college based at Irinjalakuda, Kerala formed with an intention to build the future of education. This co-educational college was founded in 2009 and over the years it became a recognizable college for the training of teachers. Accredited to the University of Calicut, the college has the permission of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which guarantees a desire for better educational quality. Having a total student capacity of 100 students and a faculty of 9, Namboodiris has a small student intake which makes it possible for students to be very much in touch with their teachers.

Namboodiris College of Teacher Education has a facility that aims to improve the learning outcomes of the students that attend the facility. Central to these are a library with complete collections of books, journals, magazines and digital media resources on different facet of education and teaching. Namboodiris College of Teacher Education currently offers one primary course: the programme referred to as Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). PRI’s is a two-year full time course which prepares prospective teachers to meet the challenges and requirements of a professional education.
