Nanjappa Institute of Allied Health Sciences, established in Shivamogga in 2019, is relatively youthful and new. Affiliated with the  Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, this affiliated college is situated in Gadikoppa, and is established near Nanjappa Life Care Hospital with the aim to deliver quality education in the allied health sciences field. The institute occupies a total area of 5.4 acres which provide the most appropriate learning environment to the students. At present, the number of students is 47 and faculty members are 8 so that institute can easily pay attention and dedicated to each and every student. Six full time B.Sc courses are also offered in Nanjappa Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre that are tailored to provide effective training and prepare the students as specialised personnel in the healthcare industry.

As for the facilities to improve the students’ condition, Nanjappa Institute of Allied Health Sciences has several amenities to offer. A library is as essential as a knowledge centre in a college; operationally departmental labs for practicals provide the essence of practical learning. For physical recreation, there is the sports grounds, while first aid services are offered by the health centre. For efficient support of students’ academic activities, the college has well developed IT facilities. For the students, there are different facility for both male and female students that include hostels. Transport facilities are also provided in the institute and thereby providing sufficient transportation for day scholars. As a form of hospitality, there is a guest house for the faculty and their families and for visiting faculty and guests.

  5. B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology – Training in the skills needed to assist in surgical procedures and management of operating room equipment.

  6. B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology – Where students learn about operating heart-lung machines and other equipment used in cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.

As far as all these programs are concerned, candidates must possess the qualification of having done 10+2 with core subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The selection is based on academic merit, and candidates may be required to undergo counseling or an interview session during the admission process.
