Nanjappa Institute of Physiotherapy is a newly introduced college in Shivamogga, Karnataka that was established in the year 2019. Specialising in physiotherapy education, this affiliated college offers the right focused curriculum to those intending to be future healthcare workers. Located on a fairly small piece of land of 5 acres, this institute offers its 21 current students rather an enclosed campus atmosphere. At present, the faculty members consists of 6 devoted workers which helps the institute to maintain a proper student faculty ratio, thereby, being able to provide individual care and education.

Nanjappa Institute of Physiotherapy has plans for numerous amenities that could help in improving the experience of the students and help them in course completion. The college library is a source of information, encompassing a large number of textbooks, periodicals and journals available in both soft and hard copy through the HELIN net. To support practical learning, there are departmental-based laboratories in the institute to give the students practical experience in line with theory. Sports facilities are also found within the vicinity which also benefits students’ health and their quality way of living. A health centre with necessary first aid equipment helps to avoid accidents, and the IT equipment represents up-to-date means of learning. The institute also provides a girls’ hostel for students that needs accommodation which contains 70 rooms. In addition, water has been provided as well as other basic needs.

At present, the Nanjappa Institute of Physiotherapy offers one primary course, the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). Offered on a full time basis, this programme takes 4 years and offers intensive training in physiotherapy to make sure that the students become well equipped in the increasing market within the health sector. 

In order to control the number of students admitted towards the course offered at Nanjappa Institute of Physiotherapy, the admission process has been simplified and is merit based.
