National Institute of Social Work and Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College offers Hostel facilities to its women students coming from parts of the state. Admission in student’s hostels shall be granted to the most meritorious ones across various Faculties, Departments, and Centers. A Hostel Welfare Association comprising of residents helps the administration in maintaining a clean, healthy, vibrant atmosphere on the campus. Residents actively participate in various cultural activities, games/ sports, seminars, debates, and discussions, etc.

The College has a growing library. It is small, yet functional and has the latest publications in the relevant fields which engage the faculty and students. It offers students, staff, research scholars, and visitors, a good selection of books on Social Work and social sciences. Aware of the fact that Social Work is a multi-disciplinary subject and keeping in view the readers’ needs, we are trying to widen its reference and issue sections. We have already embarked upon a process of modernization.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The College Computers have become an important part of our lives. These are used in a variety of settings within the educational field. Gradually the Centre has improved in infrastructure and has started Certificate and Diploma courses in computer application.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has set up an English language laboratory for practicing written and spoken English. The objective of the laboratory is to help the students who are deficient in English, confidence-building for interviews, and competitive examinations. The classes are attended by the first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students and those who voluntarily opt for it.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
