The D.Ed Special Education Intellectual Disability programme is according to Navjivini Institute of Special Education and Research admission criteria of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Admission to the programme involves counseling, whereby the institute can measure the adaptability of the candidates to the course. This, the second course, has a full-time duration of two years, preparing teachers for teaching students with intellectual disabilities at the diploma level.
