Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Hojai (NAMCE) is an institution for both boys and girls, which started in 2014. This is affiliated college in Hojai, Assam approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Established on a small piece of land of 1.63 acres, NAMCE has lined up 6 courses under 2-degree programmes with specialisation in education and arts. This is college that admits 200 students and has 19 members in its teaching staff. NAMCE embraces the training of teachers as well as the best liberal arts education to meet the education requirements of Namcol.
Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education has a list of accommodation to the students and other amenities for the college. A rich library was set up in the year 2014 with a good number of books, C.D’s and T.V. programmes, daily, weekly, monthly and several kinds of magazines and journals subscribed. The library functions from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening on weekdays and half day on Saturdays. For practical learning, Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education has equipped departmental laboratories and a computer laboratory with the required set up of 14 computers with essential software to support the operation of both students and lecturers. The college also focuses on health related concern, they have provided sports facilities, gym and other physical training equipment and they also arrange Annual Social Meet where they include cultural show, indoor and outdoor games.
NAMCE hostel is available for both male and female students with adequate accommodation to accommodate students from various part of the region engaging in our programmes. It also has a canteen, an event and seminar’s hall and a health facility that gets to offer first aid services to those in need. Since many students come to college by their own transports, there is provision of college transport where two buses work between Nilbagan, Hojai and college adding to the transport service available for the students. The college also has a functional alumni association that enhances the link between the college and the alumni thus creating network and fellowship between students.
NAMCE has 6 courses, which are B.Ed programmes, and five BA (Hons) programmes in Sociology, Political Science, English, Education and Assamese. The B.Ed programme which is the major product of the institute has a sanctioned intake of one hundred and has a tenure of two academic years. Both BA (Hons) programmes are available at 30 seats each and last for 3 years. All the courses are offered at full time.

Admissions in B. Ed programs are done purely based on the merit of candidates who qualified in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination or as per any other selection process as per the state's government/U.T. Administration policy and the university.
For undergraduate degrees (BA Hons), primarily, admissions are by the marks scored in the 10+2 or equivalent examinations. The college has six programs, including B.Ed and five BA (Hons) degrees in various subjects. It will differ in a certain way concerning the program for eligibility criteria. For B.Ed, one should graduate (BA/B.Sc) with a minimum of 50% marks. For BA (Hons) programs, at least 10+2 from any stream must have passed.

BA (Hons):
NAMCE grants admission to five BA (Hons) programs, each with 30 seats and a duration of 3 years. Programs are:
