Netaji Mahavidyalaya, also known as Kalipur College, is a well-established educational institution located in Arambagh, in the Hooghly district of West Bengal, India. Since its establishment in 1948, the college has grown significantly, with a current roll strength of nearly 5747 students and 21 Honours Departments. It also offers rare courses like Plant Protection, Electronic Science, Physical Education, and a six-month certificate course in Joga. The Department of Bengali has been offering a Postgraduate Programme since 2008. Additionally, students from different backgrounds can pursue Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate degrees in various subjects through two distance education centres, IGNOU and NSOU.
Netaji Mahavidyalaya underwent reaccreditation (Second Cycle) by NAAC in 2015 and was recently re-accredited and awarded B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The Netaji Mahavidyalaya is located in Kalipur, Ward No. 18, within the Arambagh Municipality on the western bank of the river Dwarakeswar. Arambagh is situated at the western-most part of Hooghly and serves as the gateway to three districts - Burdwan, Bankura, and Midnapore. One can reach Arambagh from Burdwan station, which is 42 kms away, or Tarakeswar station, which is 28 kms away by road. Arambagh is associated with the birthplaces of great Indian personalities like Raja Rammohan Roy, Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, and Ramakrishna Paramahansa Deb, which adds to its rich heritage. Currently, Arambagh is connected by railways to Tarakeswar and Howrah and will soon be connected to the temple town of Bishnupur.
