New Navodaya Institute of Nursing, Mandya was set up in the year 2004 is an independent affiliated college situated at Karnataka – India. This co-educational professional institution is affiliated to the Indian Nursing Council (INC), for specialised nursing education. Located on rather a small piece of land measuring 3 acres, the institute is now home to 335 students and has 27 faculty members. New Navodaya Institute of Nursing provides three full-time nursing programmes: GNM, B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing that address different needs and goals of nursing education.
New Navodaya Institute of Nursing comprises of facilities that can be considered as the great opportunities to develop students’ experience and personality. New Navodaya Institute of Nursing presently offers a total of three full time courses in nursing each catering to the educational need of the nursing profession. Current total enrolment of the institute aids a student strength of 120 divided over all of its programmes. 50 students are offered admission under the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), while 40 students are offered the B.Sc Nursing course, and there are 30 seats available under the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. These courses differ in their duration where the GNM programme takes 3years, B.Sc nursing takes 4 years while the Post Basic B.Sc nursing takes 2years.
