NTPC School of Business was established in the year 2014 under the aegis of NTPC Education and Research Society (NEARS) that is promoted by NTPC Limited, a Maharatna company of Government of India. NTPC School of Business courses includes Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Energy Management (PGDM-EM) and  Post Graduate Diploma-Executive (PGDM-E). The programme is designed to equip students with necessary managerial skills and help them enhance their leadership skills. NTPC School of Business aids various centres of excellence in order to make a contribution to the Energy Sector that helps in the overall development of the society. NTPC School of Business is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad.

NTPC School of Business Placement Committee bridges the industry-academia gap and helps students in getting employment opportunities. The Placement Committee is in close contact with the recruiters so that they can be well informed about the changing trends and the dynamic business situations and prepare the students accordingly for the campus placements. The Placement Committee functions with the major objective of increasing the number of placement opportunities year and thus makes all possible efforts to mould students into personalities that will be demanded by the companies.
