OMM Muruga Polytechnic College was started in the year 2014 at Pottaveli, Virupatchi, Kurinjipadi, Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu as an affiliated college. an AICTE recognized polytechnic, currently the institution offers three diploma courses in engineering disciplines. Being a self-financing college the enrolment of students admitted in different programs is 301 and faculty members 56 which keep a healthy student–teacher ratio in the college. The institution aims at offering quality technical education particularly in the area of civil, mechanical and electrical & electronics engineering disciplines there is a shortage of technicians.

The college strives at ensuring that student has favorable conditions to facilitate learning.
