Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad was established in 1846. The courses offered by OMC Hyderabad are recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the National Medical Commission (NMC). The last Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, established Osmania University in 1919 A.D. The Hyderabad Medical College was established in the following year.
The Osmania Medical College Hyderabad offers degrees to students at UG, PG and doctoral levels. OMC Hyderabad providfe MBBS, MD, MS, PGD, M.Ch and DM. Madras Medical College Chennai offers undergraduate admission based on NEET UG scores. OMC Hyderabad is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal.

OMC is one of the top colleges in our state and is ranked 21st in our country (India Today). It has good infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms have projectors and the library is huge and e-library is also present. There are numerous sport centres and all the spaces are well maintained. The food hygiene is good too.
