Padmanava College of Engineering was set up in 1999 and is situated in Rourkela Odisha as a leading educational institution. This co-educational affiliated college occupies a total area of 14.21 acres where several facilities are provided for a favourable learning environment. PCE has gained special place in delivering engineering education offering five focused B.Tech programmes for the budding engineers. The college started with five members in the faculty and has now grown to 9 members in order to provide quality education to its students. The need for quality is evident through the diverse series of PCE facilities as well as through the focus that has been made on the learner’s development.

Padmanava College of Engineering has endorsed facilities that seek to complement the learning process as well as the general human development of the students. The fully fledged library is stocked with books and journals related to engineering core and allied disciplines scope of this library is 33,374 books out of which some are 82 national and international journals and 18 magazines. This vast pool of information is backed by the college’s attempts to computerised the library system to make it even more effective with higher operational convenience. PCE provides different hostels for both male and female students. The hostels also offer the adequate accommodation standards that are suitable for out station students. In order to meet the health needs of the community, PCE has hired a qualified doctor who normally checks on the students in the campus and hostels. In each case, the IGH Super Specialty Hospital, situated in nearby vicinity, is easily reachable. The sports facilities available to supplement a balanced lifestyle include a good gym; these facilities are provided under the Sports Cell with assistance from professional trainers.

There are in all five full time B.Tech programmes available at Padmanava College of Engineering, each for a span of four years. These programmes are available in different specialisation areas of engineering to give the students many opportunities to choose from. Some of the programmes include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical and Electronics. 

The admission procedure is mostly centralised and given the responsibility to OJEE and also includes management quota with few percentage of seat reservation for the SC/ST’s and physically challenged students. This exam is taken by students at the state level and acts as the basis for admitting students to the coveted B.Tech courses in PCE. It has set focused on creating a culturally-sensitive learning environment through being co-educational for students of all diverse background. The college too, has a firm belief in supporting its academics with quality and excellence is achieved by providing the best of facilities and resources, well equipped laboratory in each department is essential for an engineering education. In addition, PCE has adopted current technology and become an e-campus with an efficient Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) that improves connectivity of the campus through provision of effective communication and access to the internet for both the students and the faculty.
