Padmavathi College of Pharmacy in Dharmapuri, started in 1994, has been offering pharmacy courses in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Situated in Krishnagiri Main Road, this affiliated college occupies a 8.5 acres of land. PCI has also accredited the institute and comprise of 8 courses into 4 degree programmes to accommodate different specialised learners in the field of pharmacy. Padmavathi College of Pharmacy has facilities that are intended to aid the college learning process. A good library stocked with over 9,500 books and scientific journals helps students and members of the faculty to get the knowledge they need. The institution boasts of owning fourteen contemporary laboratories with highly qualified and professional equipment including Shimadzu Double Beam UV-visible spectrophotometers, FTIR and HPLC systems. Each of these facilities is designed to afford students practical exposure to the field of pharmaceutical research and analysis. To cater to the need of the students, the college provide separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with all the necessary facilities and a mineral water plant. A common facility for use as an auditorium has sitting capacity of 750 for academic and cultural activities in the educational and character building tours of the students.
Padmavathi College of Pharmacy provides each and every course for the pharmacy education with out any compromise. The institute offers 8 fulltime programmes and offeres D.Pharma, B.Pharma, Pharma.D and several M.Pharma programmes offered in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacognosy streams. This approval of the B.Pharma programme is of 60 students and D.Pharma course has further approved 60 students for an academic session. The capacity for the Pharma.D programme is 30 students to provide education for the students who want to continue their pharmaceutical education. The M.Pharma programmes have different intakes as follows: Pharmaceutics 15, Pharmaceutical Analysis 12, the rest specialisations- 6-12 each.

Degree wise Admission Process
D.Pharma: The Padmavathi College of Pharmacy Diploma in Pharmacy course has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission is given on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, normally the 10+2 or equivalent with science subjects.
B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy program also has the approved intake of 60 students. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics are eligible to appear for the test. Shortlisting is based on merit in the qualifying exam.
Pharma.D: The intake for the Doctor of Pharmacy program is 30 students. The candidate's performance at B.Pharma or equivalent shall be the basis for admission to the M.Pharma course, subject to any entrance tests as required by the regulating bodies.
M.Pharma: The different specialties of M.Pharma that the college offers are Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Pharmacognosy.
