People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre was set in the year 2002, this is a leading dental college in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. In its capacity as a constituent college, the institution is delivers all the approved dental programmes recognised by the DCI. Located in an area of 6.62 acres, the institute has adequate built up infrastructure and has a recruited faculty of 141 members. Focused education in different dental specialties is offered through 12 courses in three levels of degrees in the college. The following programmes explain the institute’s ability to deliver quality education: Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Master of Dental Surgery in several fields, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses.

People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre has access to modern facilities that improve the process of education for college attendees. The library is richly endowed and has reserved staff, post graduate, undergraduate library, internet facilities etc. For practical training the institute has departmental based laboratories. The campus consist of boys hostel & girls hostel, which offer quality accommodation facilities with well endowed bathrooms, canteen, and recreational halls. For recreation, guests are provided a balanced of Indoor and Outdoor facility like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and many more. The college also has a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 450 students which has all academic and cultural programmes required audio visual aids.

A total of twelve courses are offered in the People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre which comprises of totally fulltime programmes at the undergraduate, post graduate and diploma levels. The BDS programme is the primary undergraduate course offered with an intake of one hundred seats. at post graduate level, the college provides different specialisations in Master of Dental Surgery MDS having 3 to 5 seats in each, such as Orthodontics, Public Health Dentistry, Oral surgery and Prosthodontics. Further, Diploma programmes being offered by the institute include Dental Hygiene and Dental Mechanics, but the number of admissions for the programmes is unknown.

The admission is centralised at People’s College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre where the intake is depends by the national level test. Selection for the BDS programme also requires success in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Likewise, for MDS programmes, admission is given through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS). These examinations help to have a standard and fair basis in the selection of occupants most especially to dental aspiring individuals.
