PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Ottapalam, abbreviated as PKDIMS was started in 2014 at Vaniamkulam, Ottapalam, Kerala. This affiliated college has been acknowledged by the NMC- National Medical Commission and is located in a 22 acres of land. PKDIMS provides 5 courses in total and is incorporated into 3 degrees with emphasis on medical education. It offers education to 600 students and is staffed with 169 members of faculty. Being a co–educational institution, PKDIMS offers equal opportunities for both boy and girls students and it offers a number of specialties in medical field such as MBBS, MD, MS etc.
In its aim to cater the needs of the students, PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences aims to provide best facilities to facilitate their learning. The college has provided separate in-campus hostels for boys and girls which contains large number of comfortable, well furnished rooms with additional facilities like hall and other necessary facilities. The facility of the campus is having a teaching hospital with 300 beds expansion to 700 in phases. The students are in possession of central library at the college hosting more than 5000 books and 46 national/international indexed medical journals and e-resources. It also has a well – equipped gym, sports facilities, computer labs, and cafeteria within its compound. There is an auditorium situated on the 4th level of the Academic Block that has met the MCI standards.
To this end, PKDIMS presents categorised medical courses for students interested in the healthcare sector. The institute offers 5 full time programmes, out of which the MBBS course is the most famous, while there are several postgraduate disciplines as well. At present, the MBBS programme has an intake capacity of 150 seats and the postgraduate MD General Medicine & MS General Surgery, MS Otorhinolaryngology, MD Pharmacology each having 2 seats. These courses will offer theoretical concepts and skills required to make a perfect medical career that is required in the modern markets.

In the case of admission in PKDIMS, the students have to undergo a merit list and there are rules and regulation given by the particular councils. To pursue MBBS, anyone has to clear National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) from National Testing Agency is mandatory. 85% seats are reserved under merit Loan and 15% seats are under NRI quota. NIC admission to MD and MS courses is done basing on National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET-PG). At PKDIMS, the main goal is to cultivate young and brilliant medical personnel and improve the development of the health care field.

PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences (PKDIMS) Ottapalam, in the state of Kerala, is a prestigious medical college that offers a comprehensive PKDIMS admissions process for several medical programmes starting from MBBS right through to postgraduate courses. PKDIMS MBBS Application Process
- Appear for NEET-UG conducted by NTA.
- Register for state counselling (85% state quota) or management quota counselling (15% NRI quota).

- Upload scanned copies of all necessary documents such as NEET scorecard, mark sheets of 10+2, and required certificates.
- Pay the application fee.
- Candidates should attend the counselling process as per the schedule notified by the authorities.

PKDIMS Application Process for MD/MS
- Qualify NEET-PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
- Register for the centralised counselling process for postgraduate medical admissions.
- Fill out the PKDIMS application form for the desired postgraduate course.
- Submit necessary documents, including MBBS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, and NEET-PG scorecard.
- Pay the required application fee.
- Attend the counselling process as scheduled by the concerned authorities.

PKDIMS Eligibility Process
Minimum requirement needed to be applicable for MBBS admission is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as the subjects and English as one of the languages. Along with educational qualification, minimum age criteria and NEET UG score above cutoff also need to be proven. For PG courses, eligibility will require completion of the MBBS from a recognised institution and, of course, a passing score in NEET PG.

PKDIMS MBBS Admission Process
PKDIMS offers entrance to MBBS based on a total of 200 seats. PKDIMS admission is done through NEET-UG held by NTA. NEET rank, caste, and seat availability are employed for rounds of the counselling allocation. The programme has vast syllabi and advanced facilities at PKDIMS.
PKDIMS MD Admission Process
MD General Medicine: A two-seat PG course with admission via NEET-PG and subsequent counselling. Candidates must be MBBS graduates and must have completed the compulsory internship period to be eligible.
MD Pharmacology: Admission is based on NEET-PG marks and counselling. PKDIMS has 2 seats for MD Pharmacology.
PKDIMS MS Admission Process
MS General Surgery: There are 2 seats in the programme of MS General Surgery. PKDIMS admission is conducted based on NEET-PG; selected ones are based on NEET-PG performance and counselling.
MS Otorhinolaryngology: There are 2 seats available for PG specialty at PKDIMS. Selection will mostly be based on NEET-PG like all other PG programmes.
