Prasanna College of Ayurveda and Hospital was started in the year 2013 and is situated in Belthangady of Karnataka district. This affiliated college is approved by Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) that proves the college aim towards providing quality of education of Ayurveda. Located in a 5-acres piece of land, a college provide created a right environment for learning and development. At present the college has a total strength of 392 students and 47 faculty members and this make the student faculty ratio more favourable enabling maximum interaction. The institution is co-educational establishing students who have the desire in their hearts to learn Ayurvedic medicine.

Prasanna College of Ayurveda and Hospital mainly concentrate on providing the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and surgery (BAMS) course. It is a six years’ full time course that comprises theoretical and practical education in the field of ayurvedic system of medicine. The college has an intake capacity of one hundred for the BAMS course in tune with the fact that the institution has the potential of producing a considerable number of Ayurvedic professionals each passing year. This unique specialisation enables the institution to effectively direct its capitalisation and knowledge in producing quality learning in this system of traditional medicine.
Prasanna College of Ayurveda and Hospital, an affiliated college of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore follows mainly the admission procedure through the NEET —National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This examination is pre-requisite for students who wish to enrol for BAMS at this national level training institution. The college follows the NEET schedule, which normally administers tests only once a year this being in the month of May.
