Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, Thiruvalla more commonly known as PIMSRC; is a Medical College in Kerala commenced in the year 2002. This affiliated college is situated in Thiruvalla, Kerala and has carved a niche for it with regard to medical education and research. Recognised by the NMC and PCI, PIMSRC has a spectrum of medical courses for its students. The total enrollment of students in the institute is 669 and the institute also has a good ratio of the female students that is 69 percent. With a faculty strength of 128, we offer quality education in 24 Courses and 5 Degree Programmes free from excessive density of students-teacher ratio.
Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre again has equipped itself with excellent number of facilities which are advantageous for both learning and health of the students. There are two hostels on the campus – boys’ hostel and a girls’ hostel, which are spacious, clean and well furnished and are secured round the clock. The college has a modern built up library with a seating capacity of 500 students with its book published over 15,522 at present with 184 national and international journal subscription’s Inclusive of providing a digital library to help students get easy access to resources. This facility has also incorporated our institute’s development commitment by having adequate amenities such as a gymnasium, cafeteria and auditorium. PIMSRC for their medical training has adequate laboratories equipped with the most appropriate equipment and a health centre with basic first aid services available. The campus also provides places that include a branch of the bank, ATMs outlets, post office services and stores that meet students’ needs.
Medical education at the institute covers all possible courses offered by medical colleges for undergraduate, postgraduate, and even super specialty. The biggest programme of MBBS takes an intake of 100 students every year, and the different courses of MD, MS, and DM other medical courses are also available. PIMSRC has 24 courses, 498 students in undergraduate and 171 in postgraduate courses. The quality education provision has not been compromised at the institute due to a wide range of courses on offer for students to make choices from in terms of areas of medicine they want to specialize in.
The programme admission to PIMSRC is equally competitive for all students after sitting for national level entrance exams. The NEET-UG is the only test requirement for the MBBS programme, and the candidate must pass it. In the same way, entry into postgraduate medical schools depends on-passing the NEET-PG exam. I want to note that these tests guarantee the objective selection with reference to the abilities and achievements of the applicant. It also provides the scholarship enrolment where 27% of the undergraduate students participate for scholarship and 30% of the students participate for the scholarship in post graduate level. Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre (PIMSRC) in Thiruvalla is among the premier educational institutions in the state of Kerala. The institution offers a plethora of undergraduate, postgraduate, and superspecialty medical courses. For their selection of students, PIMSRC, in fact, adheres to a very stringent admission procedure, ensuring the brightest students based on national-level entrance examinations. Usually conducted in May-June, PIMSRC admissions for the MBBS and other courses begin for the academic session in August-September. Under NEET UG, the undergraduate admission for MBBS is conducted on the basis of NEET-UG; for MD, MS, and DM, admission into postgraduate courses involves tests based on NEET-PG; NEET-SS scores are accepted for Super-specialty course admissions.
Minimum eligibility conditions for applying to the MBBS course state that the candidate must have completed higher secondary education (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. There is also a score requirement of a minimum of 50% marks for MBBS course eligibility by regulatory norms. Candidates for MD, MS, and DM postgraduate courses must possess an MBBS degree from an accepted institution. NEET-UG 2025 will be held for December admission, with the application available from February 6, 2025, to March 6, 2025. NEET-PG 2025 Counseling will be held from February 19-27, 2025, and NEET-SS will be held from February 3-24, 2025.

Degree-wise Admission Process
MBBS: Admission to the MBBS program, for which the institute has 100 seats, is based on the NEET-UG score. To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to have passed the NEET-UG as well as completed a 10+2 course with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their compulsory subjects.
MD/MS: The major programs at PIMSRC include: Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Pathology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, Obstetrics and Gynaecology; as well as several other PG programs. The admission is on the basis of NEET-PG ranking. To be eligible, the applicants are required to be in possession of an MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
DM/M.Ch: The programs available are DM in Nephrology, Neurology, and Cardiology; M.Ch in Neuro Surgery. Admission is dependent on the NEET-SS score. For eligibility, candidates must have completed their MD/MS in the relevant specialty.
Our college has well maintained and vast infrastructure. The lecture halls are very spacious and equipped with smartboards and projectors. The laboratories and theatres are well equipped. Adeqaute sports facilities are provided and the playground is well maintained. The hostels are clean and hygienic.
Great infrastructure with essential equipments. They provide us a great atmosphere to study. They have a library with wifi which are well maintained and are really helpful for the students especially at the time of exams
There is a beautiful garden area which is a treat to be in. In and around the campus is well maintained all the time. AC lecture halls with comfortable seating. Overall the campus infrastructure is top - notch

You have no chances of getting a Govt. college with 530 marks as you need to get a minimum of 550+ marks to get a seat in Government Medical College. This score is neither too bad nor too good score. The admission mainly depend on the cutoff of your domicile state. You can get a seat in private medical colleges for MBBS. The fees is from 2.5 lakhs to 8 lakhs. The fees differs from college to college. Most of the colleges have fees around 3 lakhs. You can't get a seat in Govt. Colleges with this score.
