Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre (PIMSRC) in Thiruvalla is among the premier educational institutions in the state of Kerala. The institution offers a plethora of undergraduate, postgraduate, and superspecialty medical courses. For their selection of students, PIMSRC, in fact, adheres to a very stringent admission procedure, ensuring the brightest students based on national-level entrance examinations. Usually conducted in May-June, PIMSRC admissions for the MBBS and other courses begin for the academic session in August-September. Under NEET UG, the undergraduate admission for MBBS is conducted on the basis of NEET-UG; for MD, MS, and DM, admission into postgraduate courses involves tests based on NEET-PG; NEET-SS scores are accepted for Super-specialty course admissions.
Minimum eligibility conditions for applying to the MBBS course state that the candidate must have completed higher secondary education (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. There is also a score requirement of a minimum of 50% marks for MBBS course eligibility by regulatory norms. Candidates for MD, MS, and DM postgraduate courses must possess an MBBS degree from an accepted institution. NEET-UG 2025 will be held for December admission, with the application available from February 6, 2025, to March 6, 2025. NEET-PG 2025 Counseling will be held from February 19-27, 2025, and NEET-SS will be held from February 3-24, 2025.

Degree-wise Admission Process
MBBS: Admission to the MBBS program, for which the institute has 100 seats, is based on the NEET-UG score. To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to have passed the NEET-UG as well as completed a 10+2 course with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their compulsory subjects.
MD/MS: The major programs at PIMSRC include: Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Pathology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, Obstetrics and Gynaecology; as well as several other PG programs. The admission is on the basis of NEET-PG ranking. To be eligible, the applicants are required to be in possession of an MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
DM/M.Ch: The programs available are DM in Nephrology, Neurology, and Cardiology; M.Ch in Neuro Surgery. Admission is dependent on the NEET-SS score. For eligibility, candidates must have completed their MD/MS in the relevant specialty.
The academics at our college is very good. The professors are well experienced and are always approachable in case of doubts. We also receive lab sessions for practice. I am an MBBS student. Our syllabus is updated, but not much frequently.

You have no chances of getting a Govt. college with 530 marks as you need to get a minimum of 550+ marks to get a seat in Government Medical College. This score is neither too bad nor too good score. The admission mainly depend on the cutoff of your domicile state. You can get a seat in private medical colleges for MBBS. The fees is from 2.5 lakhs to 8 lakhs. The fees differs from college to college. Most of the colleges have fees around 3 lakhs. You can't get a seat in Govt. Colleges with this score.
