Rajiv Gandhi Education Society’s Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital Rona ( RGESAMCH ) is one of the renowned institution imparting knowledge and education in Ayurveda and having Hospital facility. This affiliated college was established in 1992, situated in Ron, Gadag district of Karnataka state. With the permission of the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), RGES's Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital has a full-fledged course in Ayurveda. The college occupies a 11-acre large area of land and offers total number of enrolment as 408. The institute has a faculty of 44 experienced professionals to give quality education in the art of Ayurvedic medicine.

RGES's Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital boasts of fully approved and equipped facilities to meet the needs of the students in learning and other areas of their development. Organised class rooms, well stocked practical laboratories, etc., are the major facilities available for the campus educations. A library is the vital part of a school which is the source of knowledge satisfaction of students and faculties. Concerning physical fitness and recreation there is a provision of two sporting equipment and a gym in the college. It also has event uses and seminar uses, and helps enrich the academic content of the school.

The courses provided by RGESAMCH include 7 courses and all its programmes are full time. The flagship course is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), the course of which has 60 intakes. Further, the college also provides several courses of postgraduate standard in its perimeters, out of which, it is providing MD and MS courses in diverse fields of Ayurveda with an intake capacity of just 6 students per course. These courses are MS Shalya Tantra, MD Kayachikitsa, MD Dravyaguna, MD Rachana Sharira, MD Panchakarma, MD Prasutitantra and Streeroga.

Admission to RGESAMCH, an affiliated college of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, is done on the merit system and in compliance with policies of the regulatory authorities. The BAMS programme, students are admitted through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) scores. NEET PG examination is conducted to admit candidates for the MD and MS courses at postgraduate level. Such national-level entrance exams help to establish a sound Central Competitive entrance exams ensure fair admission across the nation.
