Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, Rajkiya Engineering College, Basti, is established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Year 2023. The college is offering B. Tech Programme in four disciplines–Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE) and Electronics Engineering(EC) with the intake of 60 seats in each branch from the session 2023-24.

The college is running on the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, campus for this session only. The institute is a Associated College of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Prof. Kuldeep Sahay has joined as the founder director of this Institute.

Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, Rajkiya Engineering College, Basti,  offers one degree and four courses programme. For B.Tech, The candidates belonging to the B.Sc. stream shall be considered ONLY AFTER filling the seats by candidates belonging to Diploma stream.

Admission to these programmes is based on the candidate's performance in the state-level engineering entrance examination and subsequent counseling process. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above and participate in the centralised admission process conducted by the state admission authority.
