Ram Krishna Rathore Government Polytechnic, Janjgir, was started in the year 2007 and is one of the premier technical institutes situated in the Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh state of India. This was a government-owned polytechnic college situated on a fourteen-acre plot of land, aimed at imparting quality technical education to the students intending to become engineers. An AICTE-approved institute offers four types of diplomas in different branches of engineering. Thus the total student enrolment is 256 and faculty strength is 9; thus, the college inculcates focused learning among its students.
These are some of the special features of the institute. The institute has several special facilities with a view to improving the learning efforts of the students. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls to make those staying from different parts convenient and comfortable. A neat and stocked library provides students with the adequate knowledge capacity they would require in the course of their study. The college boasts a well-equipped laboratory that contains necessary instruments and tools in order to prepare students for real-life challenges. Additionally, there are sports and a gym for students in the institute for extracurricular activities that aim to enrich students’ health and teamwork. An auditorium at the campus is used as a hall for several occasions and also for seminars and cultural activities.
