The library catalogue as at December 2018 was 36,910 volumes, 27,964 embossed, 8,946 letter-press, and 854 talking books in cassettes and CDs. It also has boys’ hostel to ensure that it offer accommodate students in a comfortable manner. In academic area, the Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys’ Academy is engaging itself on providing special learning. To this, the institution provides a B.Ed special education Special Needs that takes two years to complete, and is a fulltime programme. This programme is especially being offered to those students who have completed their B.A and B.Sc degrees with suitable percentage of marks and relaxed 5% for the candidates belong to reserve category securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. It is difficult to obtain information about some specific number of seats related to the course; however, this course can really produce professional educators, who can teach the students with visual impairments successfully.
