RIET is a private engineering college, which started in the year 2003 at Kapurthala, Punjab. RIET is a prominent college that belongs to IK Gujral Punjab Technical University and conducts engineering, management and computer application disciplines. The institute is situated over a sprawling 30 acres and is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). With a total number of student enrolment being 857 and a faculty member of 123, RIET has been providing an ideal facility for learning as well as professional nurturance.
RIET has all round and well equipped modern facilities which enhance the learning ability of the students of the institute. The campus has well-equipped laboratories, library with more than 15,825 books, 83 national and international journals and 500 high end P4 internet enabled computers. Coeducational instutions offer student separate hostels for male and female students with basic furnished and equipped facilities for indoor games, reader and reader and Gymnasium to facilitate students. The institute also holds medical facilities for the employees or students, a proper canteen that offers foods bothNorthern and Southern kind, and an open space with a capacity to hold events such as seminars and the likes. The university currently has a fleet of 10 buses and 2 Vans that help students in transportation process.
As of now, RIET has provided a total of 20 courses in different levels which include Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma. The institute offers 7 B.Tech programmes as full time, 2 as master programmes MBA and MCA and M.Tech in several disciplines. RIET admits students on the basis of past academic performances as its major criteria.
