About RIT COP Medak
Ratnapuri Institute of Technology College of Polytechnic, Medak (RITCOP) is well known technical college was started in the year 2009. This affiliated college of polytechnic education has set a standard for itself in the region. Located in a large 5.16 acre plot, RITCOP provides a wholesome learning environment for the development of technical education carrying out diploma courses in a variety of Engineering streams. At present, the total number of students admitted in the institute is 662 and has an adequate number of a faculty of 47 members which is sufficiently small enough to look after adequate number of students in order to provide proper attention and facilities.
Infrastructure is one of the major strengths of RITCOP in which all modern facilities are available to complement the philosophy of school. The institute has fully-developed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Electrical & Electronics Engineering etc. These labs allow the students gain practical experience right from the classroom in an effort to close the gap between the theoretical and the real world. The college library is a excellent place and has all essential collection of references, books, magazines etc. It also has resources to industrial information databases; students and faculty can use to update information within their fields.
There are seven full- time diploma programmes in this institute successfully running all of which are recognised by AICTE. These programmes cut across all the engineering disciplines as it offer various programmes to meet the career needs of students. These are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering, Agricultural engineering, Agricultural Technology, and Computer Science and Engineering. All the programmes accommodate 60 students while the Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Technology take only 30 students each.

Admission is done mostly through merit at RITCOP Since its establishment, it has been employing a very ordinary admission process. the candidate is eligible for admission into polytechnics he/she has to write the Common Entrance Test for admissions into Polytechnics (TS POLYCET) conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training Telangana. It is noted that this is the only entrance examination that is utilised for admission into all the diploma courses at the institute.

- Entrance Exam: Attend TS POLYCET on the appointed date. The examination generally comprises subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Declaration of Results: Following the completion of the examination, results will be announced on the official TS POLYCET site, where candidates will be able to see their results and ranking.
- Counseling Registration: The successful candidates should register for the counseling procedure, which involves a nominal fee for counseling and the indication of the course and college of choice.
- Verification of Documents: The candidates must keep their documents ready for verification.
- Allotment of Seats: Allotment shall be made on the basis of the ranks, preferences, and availability of seats.
- Payment of Fees: Candidates shall pay the requisite amount of fees as per the seat allotted to them in RITCOP, thus confirming their provisional admission.
- Reporting to the Institute: After completing all of the above-mentioned procedures, students must report to RITCOP on the specified date along with all original documents to complete the final admission procedure.
Ratnapuri Technological Institute College of Polytechnic, Medak Diploma Programmes Admission Process
RITCOP is offering seven AICTE-approved full-time diploma programmes. The admissions to all of these programmes are through the TS POLYCET examination, which is the same for all programmes. The distribution of programmes with the respective intakes is as follows:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering: 60 seats
- Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: 60 seats
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 60 seats

For all diploma programmes mentioned above, candidates should qualify TS POLYCET. The assignment of seats will be made based on the merit list prepared based on the entrance test scores. Candidates must attend counseling sessions for seat allocation.
