Rattan Professional Education College, College of Nursing, Mohali, is one of the best nursing colleges of Punjab which was established in 1997 in sector-78, SAS Nagar, Mohali,Punjab. This affiliated college is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and has a number of nursing courses. Spread across 8.5 acres of land, the college has 27 educators on its rolls as members. It offers nine programmes at three degrees, focusing on diverse areas of nursing profession. Being a women only institution, the management is determined to deliver quality education to those who wish to join the health care sector.

Rattan Professional Education College has developed a good number of nursing courses with an aim to meeting different objectives the clients. The institute offers nine full time courses at diploma, graduate, postgraduate and post graduate diploma levels. Such courses include the undergraduate courses such as ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery), GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery), B. Sc. Nursing and Post Basic B. Sc Nursing. For those who want to specialise, the college offers Masters of Science in Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynecologic Nursing. The approved intake in these courses also differs. For GNM it is 60 and for B.Sc Nursing it is 40. These programmes are offered in the college with an aim of offering excellence in education for one to acquire a favorable status in the health facility.

The procedure of admitting students in Rattan Professional Education College differs depending on the course of study. For admission in the ANM and GNM programmes, the admission criteria is merit in the 10+2 examination. The B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, admission is offered after passing the entrance test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.
