RC College of Education Dhanot came into existence in the year 2003 and is affiliated to a University, situated at Jawalamukhi Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This co-educational institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) head office located in New Delhi conducting teacher education at a level of quality. Hutch enrolled in a local college of which occupies only 2.39 acres of land, it provides two full-time B.ED courses for the total of the 192 students enrolment. RC College of Education has a strength of 15 dedicated faculties therefore the institution has a desirable student-teacher ratio hence promoting favorable learning environment.

RC College of Education enables students to benefit from a variety of learning facilities to make the college a worthy experience of their educational needs. The amenities which are at the heart of Students’ Centre include a library that boasts of facilities including over 5622 books on various subjects concerning B.Ed. & D.El.Ed. programmes. It also has a reading section that can comfortably fit up to one hundred students, and maybe used for group study or any other work in a library. Also, many magazines, journals, newspapers are also being subscribed in the college to ensure that the students are aware of any current event related to the field of education. There are many labs available in the institution for practical such as Science lab for secondary and senior secondary with required apparatus, Education Psychology lab for doing different tests and experiments of intelligence, aptitude, creativity and personality etc.

RC College of Education offers two primary courses. The college offer Two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with an intake capacity of 100 and Two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme with intake 50. These are two full time, campus based programmes that aims to produce graduates with teaching and education profession.

In RC College of Education, the admission process is somewhat different, depending on the programme offered. Admissions to the B.Ed programme are merit based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per rules framed by the State Government/U.T. Administration and the affiliated University.
