24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Medical-Surgical Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the postgraduate level in the nursing course offered by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
- The Colleges of Nursing in the Government sector of Assam shall admit students into the M. Sc Nursing course as per the Indian Nursing Council guidelines.
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of :
- B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- Minimum one year of work experience after a Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- A 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
Admission Details
The selection of candidates shall be merit-based, ensuring transparency and fairness. The process is as per the Entrance Examination conducted by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.
