• Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh has been accredited by the NAAC. 

Established in the year 1963, Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh was set up under the scheme of the Government of India to address the Educational needs of the North Indian States. Regional Institute of English currently offers the programmes only at the postgraduate level to the students. RIE Chandigarh offers the PG programme in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences stream to the students. Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh offers the MA English programme at the postgraduate level to the students. Admission in the MA English programme at Regional Institute of English is made on the basis of performance of the candidates in an Entrance Examination. 

Admission in the MA English programme at RIE Chandigarh is made on the basis of PUCET Score and Rank obtained by the candidates. On the basis of performance of the candidates in the Entrance Test and on the basis of various other factors, Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh declares the Cutoffs and offers the admission to the shortlisted candidates. Regional Institute of English provides Library, Laboratories, Hostel, Sports and various other facilities to the students. Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh is affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh. The functioning of RIE Chandigarh is within the purview of Chandigarh Administration. Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh is accredited by the NAAC.
