IGNOU is a open university many students took admission here as a distance learner so I can say about infrastructure for my regional and study centre and it was good, and it varies for all the centres, other facilities like sports, access to library, medical facilities, wi-fi, labs are not provided in such centres, classes are held on weekends.

I had studied Ma in Sociology and the faculty of this university is appreciable they ensure utmost involvement of students, and try their best to share their knowledge with the students, they clear each and every doubt, and gives trips and ticks to crack and pass the examination easily, the passing percentage is around 70-80% in Ma sociology.
Placements
There is no placement facility available in my college, as if you want to take placement facility then you should go for a regular college, in open university, you would not get this facility, some recruiting companies come by chance. Overall the placement in Indira Gandhi National Open university is not very good.

Many students opt this university for distance learning so if you are also choosing this university for distance learning then it is a good choice afterall fees are very low and many things are also good but the exams are not very easy to paas so you have to study hard to paas the examination .

What few books they have are outdated and the space itself is hardly conducive to study. Forget about modern research; the collection is woefully inadequate. Adding insult to injury, the computer labs are non-functional. The computers are either broken, outdated, or lack internet access, rendering the entire lab useless. Students are left without the essential tools they need to succeed in today's digital world. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a major hindrance to their education. How can students be expected to learn and thrive in an environment so severely lacking in basic resources? It's a disservice to the students and a clear indication of a systemic failure to invest in their future. This situation needs urgent attention and a significant overhaul. Anything less is unacceptable.

My college eventhough being a small institute has a great infrastructure. Speaking of homerooms they not that spacious but looking at the batch size they teach its seems feasiable. They have activity room incoorperating indoor sports such as: Table tennis Carrom Chess Board games They even have conference room for students and faculty for helding meeting for upcoming events. Not to mention the cafeteria they made for students to handout in their free time and those for not so social beings they have library aswell with all the reference books anyone wishes to read. AGBS Ahemdabad does provide us the enviornment to nuture into becoming a better leader.

Looking into academics, generally people blame the faculty for not teaching well. However, inturn the students who say this don't know how to study in the first place. I have come from a very diffrent studying environment (IB) So it was tough for me to spent the theory lectures, with practically zero interaction among the mentors and peer. The learning in amity is done well but it could be managed well by learning from the IB.

I am just a BBA Student, that of the first year. So i don't know much about the placement. I have heard about how placement commitie functions and how many students from Senior years recieved spetecular packages in top companies of India.
