Miranda House has good infrastructure with clean and well-maintained surroundings. Classrooms, library, and other basic facilities are satisfactory and support academic needs. However, the Wi-Fi connectivity is not very reliable across the campus and could be improved. I am pursuing Philosophy (Hons) in my first year at Miranda House. I chose this course out of interest in understanding ideas, ethics, and critical thinking. However, so far, the experience has been somewhat mixed. The quality of teaching is decent, with teachers being knowledgeable, but the approach often feels limited to explaining texts rather than helping students truly engage with the subject. By the end of the first year, there is still a lack of clarity about the core purpose and relevance of philosophy, which can be confusing. The curriculum does cover important thinkers and concepts, but it feels quite traditional and heavily text-based. There is scope to make it more engaging by including practical discussions, real-life applications, and interactive methods, rather than relying mainly on dense readings.

Placements at Miranda House are decent, but limited for humanities courses like Philosophy. Most students prefer higher studies or other career paths, though the placement cell does provide some opportunities.

The college has a clean and green campus, which is one of its best features. Students can take part in various societies, cultural events, and sports activities. The crowd is diverse, teachers are supportive but teaching can feel too theoretical at times, and the support staff is helpful. I studied at govt. Polytechnic ahmedabad and found the infrastructure to be decent but not very modern. The classrooms are functional and specious, but some areas need better maintenance, the computer labs are available and useful, although a few systems are outdated. The location is safe, it can likely handle emergencies. The teachers and support staff are decent not over the top.

So our labs are basically newer, better-built versions of what is typical. The library has tons of academic resources. I am currently doing my degree from Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University & my academic experience is been good till now. The professors are knowledgeable and willing to help, and they try their best to clarify concepts. The syllabus is relatively new and consists of theoretical and practical subjects which assists in forming the base. The assignments, projects and generation of internal presentations on a regular basis also reinforces understanding. The academics are good with quality of teaching.

Job placement cell here in this college help students to prepare by conducting training sessions and mock interviews along with internship offers. Placement Quality, which varies with the course and securing better opportunities happens when students work city hard at skill sets or extra, all other efforts don't pay off. In short, the placements are good but not fantastic and if there is a constant development in terms of opportunities as well diversity of companies then it could lead to even better thing.
