Infrastructure is really good. It looks so aesthetic. Really beautiful. Yes, there's wi-fi available. And we have a really good library, a big play ground, a gym, indoor games, and yes, there's a swimming pool also.Classes are cleaned.

I currently have enrolled in doctor of philosophy degree in mathematics from here and my guide is so helpful.They guide me in every possible way of writing review and doing my research work properly.Quality of teaching is also good.

The quality of placements is good in our college. Some major companies are coming in and out of the nation call out for placements in our college. College have a placement cell working for getting much better placement options and keep in touch the most of the brilliant students are getting placed.Mostly who pursuing PhD wants to go for professor and teaching line

College management didn't allow students who are not wearing uniform it is mandatory for each and every student. The location is safe only for girls and the staff is not supportive and they will encourage extra curricular activities

Library is there inside the college but it's very small only 30-40 members capacity and they don't have much clubs for us to join and improve our skills and to show our talents and compared to other branches our college group is small, they don't have perfect sports coach to teach us and the best thing I liked in this college is they will arrange some functions in special days( only for girls) I enjoyed a lot with my friends and I participate in some stage performances also because I like dance

i had done bachelors of commerce from the rajkiya kanya maha vidyalya shimla. i opted for bachelor's of commerce because i always had intrest in commerce and accounting . and also the teaching stafff here is very efficient.

the rajkiya kanya maha vidyalya does not provide any placements for it's students and also there is no placement cells established for the students . the students have to go to the the companies itself for job.

College has facilities in a campus hostel. Rooms are clean and in good condition including the almirah, geysers also have options for a common washrooms or an attached washrooms. It also provides mess facilities where you can have your breakfast, lunch snacks, and dinner. Quality for a meal is both good and healthy. The menu varies from day to day. For registration in the hostel 10,000 is the registration fee and the rest of the rent will be paid during the admission process cost for hostel rooms varies on the selection of the type of room. Hostel Fee : INR 61000 per year.

If we consider the faculty members of this college then, I would give a 10 on 10 stars. The teachers are always willing to help even after their teaching period. They are open to giving real corporate life-like challenges to their students. The teachers themselves have a long list of experiences in different bi9g industries so they are always teaching and explaining real-life experiences. Some teachers in DBS are more like a guide to life. The curriculum especially in commerce consider more real-life practice lessons. We are exposed to industry experiences, corporate structures, and whatnot. The course teaches what a good manager should know and implement. Class Size is 60 course fees is INR 325000 per year.

In my course, nobody was placed, and the highest package offered is 3 LPA after a bachelor's degree, with the lowest being 1.5 LPA. Companies like Akkums Pharmaceuticals, Teva, Suncare Formulations, Sun Pharma, Windlass, etc. are potential recruiters. Unfortunately, no internships are offered in our course, with roles like Microbiology Trainee, Quality Control and Quality Assurance Trainee, or Analyst

The professors are good, but the curriculum isn't updated. It's mostly theoretical, and in our diploma program, we only covered the basics. So, we need to work hard to learn industry-specific skills and soft skills.

The institution has its own campuses in 3 major cities of India, and Visakhapatnam is one of the most beautiful campuses among these three. The college has all the modern facilities including large libraries, laboratories, seminar halls, auditoriums, research labs, etc. The college has provide good infrastructure and greenery of the campus is well maintained

The teaching of our teachers is very subpar, which is concerning because on paper they are very qualified, having PhDs and all. But if we ask them any doubts, they will explain very well. Our course curriculum is relevant, but we cannot say it will make us industry-ready because they don't give us any practical training; all they teach us is mechanical workshop. Our semester exams are very easy, so not to worry. If we prepare the day before the exam, we will generally pass. The pass percentage is mostly above 90%.and most of the teachers have exicilent knowledge in there specific subject and have polite nature towards the students
Placements
This year, fewer than 40% of students were placed, possibly due to a package of 18 LPA, which was off-campus. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are TCS, and the majority of internships are summer internships in a few IITs like Hyderabad, Delhi, and Tirupati. If students are interested, they can apply to other companies for industry experiences and they also provide training for the students for getting required skills set for the company

Currently I am pursuing my MBA from IIM Shillong and I will be graduating in 2025. I will be reviewing the college by talking about some of the important aspects in brief: Hostel facilities: The institute has two campuses. The new campus is in Umsawli and the old campus is in Nongthymmai. While majority of the activities takes place in new campus only, old campus is still used as hostel for the junior batch. As a result, First year students have to travel 2 hours daily to and fro, between these two campuses. The hostel facilities in the new campus are just amazing. Mess facilities: Even though the institute tries to offer as much diverse menu as possible, but in terms of food quality the experience is not that good. Food options are many, but quality suffers.

IIM Shillong follows the IIM curriculum strictly. Most of the teaching revolves around the case based pedagogy. Professors are of higher quality except a few, which is very normal everywhere. Even though academic rigour exists there, but not as rigorous as Ahemdabad or Lucknow.
Placements
One area in which IIM Shillong has stood apart from the other IIMs is Placements. IIM Shillong has been given the tag of 'Fastest growing IIM'. The term BLACKI which is used for the best IIMs is now getting transformed to BLACKIS, which itself is a proof of the recent top placement records.

The library is the best place to go in the college. The entire 2-storey building is the place that gives solace. It is the only college after SRCC that has its own swimming pool. The new academic block rooms are comparatively bigger to accommodate more people.

Academics are the main focus of the college. The professors are focused and tend to pay attention to tutorials in which they tend to the doubts of the students. This is a common thing in IPCW. Tutorials are taken seriously.
Placements
The placements have taken pace now. Even Bain and company come for analyst roles to the college now. It is a good place where placements happen. S&M roles are usually sales-focused, though, by now. However, the prospects are good.

The campus is not very far from the North Campus, so people can go on a spree and socialise even in their free time. Maju ka Tila is also minutes away, so it is quite feasible to go at any time.
