SHCTPT is a known autonomous college started in 1951 in Tirupattur, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu autonomous. Recognized by Thiruvalluvar University, the college is duly accredited by NAAC, and recognized by AICTE. SHCTPT is spread over a campus of 25.1 acres offering courses of 67 with 14 degrees for 4,602 enrolled students and a faculty of 204. The college enrolled 61% male and 39% female students, and the 99% of the college students come from the state.
An effectively stocked library has around 80000 books, 22 magazines, 100 journals and is Well equipped with modern IT facilities. For the students’ overall growth, the college has provided health center, indoor games and outdoor games facilities, cafeteria, and a hall. Laboratories for different departments afford application base learning.
SHCTPT has numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as doctoral programs for students. It offers 30 undergraduate programmes which include BA Economics, BBA, BCA and several BSc programmes among others. For postgraduate level, there are 18 courses offered for the candidate like MA Economics, MBA, MCA, M.Sc in different streams etc. It was also found that the institute also provides 12 M.Phil and 11 Ph.D courses and several PG Diploma courses. Intake capacities for the MBA and MCA programs are already approved for 60 students each.

In our department, almost all facilities are available, and the infrastructure is also good. High-speed Wi-Fi facilities are available, and we provide big lab rooms. The best books are available in our library. On our side, the university mess facilities are available. Our university canteen facilities are really good because of the of the quality of food available. Also, the medical facilities are provided in our department.
