Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a fully fledged institution in the field of pharmacy which was established in the year 2007 in Warangal. Approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, located in Arepally, Mulugu Road, Warangal, it is an affiliated college. Located in Esplanade, Nagpur, the institute has a spacious campus of 2.845 acres. It provides 4 courses in 3 degrees in the field of pharmacy with different sections of pharmacy. The total enrolment of student at Sahasra Institute is 238 with total number of faculties as 37 which makes sure that every pharmacists trained here gets personal attention.

Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences has a number of modern amenities which has been developed to improve the learning process of the learners. A good library also facilitate direct access to numerous learning resources, both print and electronic, to allow effective research and or learning. To this regard, the college possesses appropriate infrastructure facilities of I.T comprising of 25 LCD Computers with high networking facilities and pre-installed basic applications. In the perspective of practical education, the institute has a collection of different core departments’ specialised labs those are: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Biotechnology.

Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides number of full time courses to meet the different levels in pharma field. The institute offers a 4-year B.Pharma programme for 60 students, two M.Pharma programmes of 2 years duration each, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis, for 30 students in each specialty and a 6 years Pharm.D programme for 25 students. This diverse offering allows the students to obtain specialised education in areas of pharmacy at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

The admission process of Sahasra Institute of pharmaceutical Sciences is elaborate and follows the merit system. In the case of B.Pharma admissions, the main criteria adopted by this institute is TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) ranks. The counselling process permit 70% of seats as per the rank of the TS EAMCET Test while 30% seats by management by merit in intermediate examination or by the rules of the state government. For M.Pharma, the student are selected own GPAT and TS PGECET merit list. Likewise, 70% of the total seat available in M.Pharma are through these entrance examinations and 30% through management quota.
