Sanjeevini Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital (SAMCH) was started in the year 2017, situated at Hubballi, Karnataka. It is a co-educational college offering courses fully recognised by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). SAMCH is spread over 10 acres of land it has only one undergraduate course with 179 total intake and 39 faculty members. The college aims at offering quality education in the field of Ayurveda by integration with the modern system of medicine.

SAMCH has equipped different facilities that would offer improvement to the learning process as well as the culminating health of the students. The college has a library with a reading area with a digital library and it contains books, journals, multimedia, and many other things. Through RGUHS HELINET the students use e-journals. The institute also provides separate hostels for the boys and girls as a part of safe and convenient environment. For academic endeavors the institute offers spacious departmental laboratories and technologically equipped classrooms in SAMCH. The college also has an auditory for any occasion and seminars, a cafeteria to take a break and take some food and beverages, and sports fields for any tired student to engage on. Medical care is taken care of with a gym to enhance on the health of the students besides a health center for first aid. Also, to support the college’s aims in implementing digital learning, the college is well endowed with adequate information technology facilities.

The BAMS programme at SAMCH is a six-and-one-year regular course which consists of one year compulsory internship. Having received the intake capacity of 60, the college aims to offer a total Ayurvedic course. It offers the program an Ayurvedic footing while at the same time endowing it with knowledge constitutive of today’s medical systems. The approach here taken is to train holistic Ayurvedic doctors to meet challenges of modern day health care delivery.

The Students are admitted into SAMCH through their scores in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG). Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is in charge of admissions. It also demands candidates to avail the eligibility criteria provided by the university and to also gain a registration number from KEA. The result for NEET UG on which the admissions are dependent was recently declared on 4th June 2024. Due to adoption of general tests, only the most competent and hard working students are selected to undertake BAMS program.
