    SBC offers an undergraduate programme named BA Mass Communications with a 30-seat intake basis. It can be joined either on the merits of the respective candidate through merit basis at an entry level during a 10 + 2 equivalent examination. Such a programme encompasses the holistic aspect of mass communications.

    School of Broadcasting and Communication MA Admission Process

    • The MA in Mass Communication is a postgraduate course with an intake of 25 seats. A bachelor's degree in any discipline can be the qualification for admission. Academic records are evaluated and there may be even an interview to assess the aptitude of the candidate for the field.
    • The MA Broadcast Journalism is a specialised programme concentrating on television and radio journalism; 25 seats are available. One would assume this programme requires at least a baccalaureate degree and also possibly relevant experience or internships in journalism.
    • The MA Advertising and Public Relations course intake is 25 students. A bachelor's degree from any discipline with a background in communication, marketing, or any related field makes one eligible for application. There may be some review of an applicant's portfolio or previous work in advertising or PR as part of the application process.
    • The MA Journalism course accommodates 25 students and focuses on making print and online journalists. The programme is open to graduates in any field, but a good command of language and current affairs knowledge would be an added advantage.
