Shantha College of Commerce and Management, Chikballapur, started in the year 2013, is one of the pioneer institute of Commerce and Management in the state of Karnataka in the Republic of India. This coeducational institution is present in Peresandra in Chikkballapur Taluk as an affiliated college which hosts a variety of degree programmes in fields of commerce and management. The college is young, however, within a short period of time it has emerged as a known college in the area offering good education to the students interested in profession in commerce, business administration and computer application.

Shantha College of Commerce and Management is an affiliate college of Bangalore University, Bangalore. Great facilities are availed at Shantha College of Commerce and Management that are meant to facilitate the learning process of the students in the college. At the core of these facilities, there is a formal library that comes with several catastrophes as follows; It is a computerised and automated library with a bar code system of transactions. The books made available freely by the open-access system have been convenient for the students in accessing the large stock of books including syllabus prescribed books and books for competitive examination. There are also 14 computer systems that are connected to the internet to supplement a student’s internet needs at no extra charge. An open access system lets students borrow books during examinations for an extended period; a separate SC/ST Book Bank, semester wise book kits all decrease the burden on students’ pocket money. 

Shantha College of Commerce and Management offers three full-time undergraduate programmes. These are Bachelors of Commerce, Bachelors of Business Administration and Bachelors of computer application. All these programmes have an approved intake of 60 students implying that there are 180 study places in the college for all courses offered. The areas are of importance in the education of the students for the active business world of commerce and technology embraced by this college.
