Shri Alpesh N Patel Post Graduate Institute of Science and Research, Anand, better known as SANPPG was founded in the year 2010 at Anand in Gujarat. The affiliated college having an enrolment of 1,340 students and a faculty of 47, the college runs a wide variety of courses that extend to as many as 13 in number under 3 degree levels. The institute is known for its specializations in various scientific disciplines, including Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Medical Lab Technology. 

The institute boasts an impressive array of facilities designed to enhance the learning experience of its students. The library is a rich treasure of knowledge with access to hundreds of journals and thousands of e-books from globally reputed publication houses under the N-LIST program. There are 14 state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with sophisticated research instruments to make students experimentally proficient in their respective fields. SANPPGI offers a whole range of courses, though the institute primarily focuses on postgraduate and doctoral programs in science. The institute offers 13 full-time courses, 8 MSc programs, 1 diploma course, and 4 PhD programs.

The admission to courses at SANPPGI is mainly done on the basis of merit, wherein the marks secured in the qualifying degree remain the dominant factor. For example, admission to M.Sc Information Technology will be based on the merit of marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
