Sri Jayachamarajendra Government Polytechnic Bangalore (SJP Bangalore) was established in 1943 and is one of the oldest polytechnics in the state. SJP Bangalore is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education Bangalore. SJ Government Polytechnic Bangalore includes diploma in engineering courses in seventeen branches.
The courses available are Diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, automobile engineering and more. Aspiring candidates must meet the SJP Bangalore eligibility criteria before applying for the courses. SJ Government Polytechnic admissions are done on the basis of merit for some courses as well as on first cum first basis for other courses.
