SJES College of Education was established in the year 1986 and is a popular college situated in Bengaluru which is serve the society and improve the future of the education. The college is situated in Medahalli, Old Madras Road, Bengaluru and is spread across 2.5 acres of land which makes the college environment optimised. It is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) to respond to the national norms and standards of teacher education. With a total student strength of 300 and a faculty of 15 members, SJES College of Education has the advantage of a planned focus on the students which creates a positive environment for learning.

SJES College of Education has all these and more features to complement the learning process of our students. A library is a collection of Collins-essential tools needed for learning, information, and research. Equipped with user friendly and intelligent teaching facilities, the college boasts of well-equipped laboratories that provide the best equipments and computer facilities for the students. In the area of physical health there is a large and roomy plot with various types of exercise equipment. Different events and seminars for discussion of ideas and concerns are held in an auditorium and encourgages cultural meetings. There is also a health centre where first aid facilities are offered and the college also offers student affairs. A canteen should also be in a position to meet the company’s and student’s appetite for foods. Forth, SJES College of Education provide independent and secured hostel for the out-station students accommodated separately for boys and girls. The institution offers two full-time courses. these are a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Education (M.Ed) programmes that take two years to complete. Has an approved intake capacity for B.Ed programme is 100 and for M.Ed programme is 50. These programmes are meant to prepare students for professional practice in this field so that they can embrace responsible careers in education. 

At present, SJES College of Education has some clear admission policies which state that the institution operates an ability based admission system that is, merit. Admission to the B.Ed programme is done based on marks of the relevant qualifying examination and or an entrance test. The specific policy for the selection of students may differ in accordance with the set policy of the state government, UT administration or the university. Likewise, for the M.Ed programme, the admission criteria include merit made from the marks obtained from qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other mode recognised by objective as laid down by the concerned authority.
