Smt. Narayani Dr. Karigowda College of Nursing, Hassan,was started in the year 1995 and it is one of the leading nursing colleges situated in Hassan, Karnataka. The college approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) was established in the year 2003 offers various programs in the field of nursing at under graduate and post graduate level. The institute occupant a space of five acres of land and has a total enrollment of 434 students and has a workforce of 29 teachers. Offering 7 courses in 2 degree levels, the college offers specialties in medical surgical, and community health, pediatric, obstetrics / gynecological, and psychiatric nursing courses.

The college acknowledges responsibility to offer the students technologically advanced infrastructure to complement their learning experiences. The institute has a functional library with over 3,000 books and other publications including Dailies, Magazines and Newspapers are available and operated by two professional librarians. The students have been privileged to use adequate and well-equipped laboratories where they can practice nursing in different fields. 

The college also has developed facilities for computer with a latest LAN-WAN connectivity, sports facilities and an auditorium for all college related programs and seminars. Many students prefer to stay on campus and for this purpose boarding facilities are provided separately for boys and girls with clean and tasty food with stationery and buffet.

Smt. Narayani Dr. Karigowda College of Nursing has 7 programmes in total, of which all the programmes are full time programmes. This comprises both bachelor’s degree courses as well as masters courses in nursing. It has 434 students enrolled in all programs in the college meaning there are so many opportunities that the college offers to any person who wishes to become a nurse.
