SN College of Education, Jagadhri Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-equipped and rich library, which is the soul of a good institution. With this dictum in mind, the college has arranged for a rich and well-equipped library with all modern facilities. There are 19200 books on Education and other subjects on the shelves of the library. The library has two reading rooms, which are spacious and provide ample material for extra reading. The library subscribes to 42 journals on Education, 16 magazines, and 12 Newspapers in Hindi and English.

The reference section is very rich. It has the latest Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, surveys of both Research and Educational, Commission and Committee reports, and foreign publications. The reference section of the library caters to the needs of brilliant students and teachers as it gives them sufficient intellectual stimulation. This year, we have added many indexing and abstracting sources. Our well-furnished library has an adequate number of charts, maps, models, globes, and rolling boards. We have several audio and video cassettes and DVDs. Our library is computerized and has tacatalog of the holdings of the library. to date

This year, we have spent Rs. 75000/- on the purchase of books. We give 7 books to the B.Ed. Students & 6 books to M.Ed. students for a year, and in addition totto that2 books for fifteen days.

The college has separate fully equipped and spacious Practical Science Labs for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are provided to the students and staff to develop their manipulative skills, as we believe in the cardinal principle of `Learning by doing'.

The College has an auditorium room with all facilities.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has created the most optimal and advanced computer center. All the computers are connected via a Local Area Network. The hardware configuration of the computer center is Pentium IV processors equipped with the latest version of the software, andit provides internet connectivity round the clock to students on a cost-free basis. 

The college has sports facilities for all students. The list includes cricket, football, badminton, softball, and many more. The college organizes sports events every year for the students. We believe in healthy hearts and strong minds.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has spacious architecturally designed lecture and tutorial rooms, airy and electric gadgets, glossy chalkboards, and flannel boards all intact, and furnished with adequate modern furniture.

The College has a proper network of this facility. Problems of any kind can be sorted out with the help of Transport In charge.

• Nurtures Industry College interaction by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, in-plant training, and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the industry and academia.
• Receives and forwards the feedback pertinent to curriculum improvement from the visiting companies to the faculty, to ensure that the curriculum follows the latest industrial trends.
• Helps every student define his/her career interests through individual expert counseling.
