Sonkar Polytechnic, Bilaspur, was established in 2016 in Mungeli, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. This co-ed college has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and offers four diploma programmes to the students. Currently, 240 students and 29 faculty members are enrolled in this institute under the different disciplines of engineering.

Sonkar Polytechnic further offers various facilities to enhance the life of a student. It has excellent infrastructural arrangements for IT catering to modern methods of learning and a well-equipped library that works as a source of knowledge. Specialised laboratories are featured on the campus to provide practical hands-on training in all the different fields of engineering. Sonkar Polytechnic, Bilaspur, admits students based on the academic performance of the relevant subjects and even conducts its entrance test or else accepts scores from state-level polytechnic entrance exams.
